The Silipos Partial Foot Sock is designed for those with a partial foot amputation that retained the heel, yet the toes were amputated. Silipos created a sock that is soft inside and void of anything that can create issues for delicate diabetic skin. Take advantage of Silipos’ patented mineral oil gel formula along the bottom end of the partial foot sock. The gel releases a medical grade mineral oil to moisturize, soften, cushion, and protect transmetatarsal amputations from pressure and shearing. It’s important to protect the skin of a partial foot especially along the suture line, because this area is prone to continuous skin breakdown. The Silipos Partial Foot Gel Sock will add an extra layer of gel protection that will not only help prevent breakdown, but also moisturize and nourish the skin. This product is washable and reusable.

Silipos recommends that you hand wash the Partial Foot Sock with mild detergent (no bleach) or in gentle machine cycle. After washing, pat dry your sock with a towel to absorb water. Turn the Partial Foot Sock inside out and repeat process. Air dry instructions: it may take between 24-30 hours to air dry. Turn it inside out to dry properly. Silipos suggests alternating with a fresh sock while second one is being washed and dried. The longevity of this sock depends upon several factors which include your weight, activity level, and partial foot amputation type.
Do not place the Silipos Partial Foot Sock on an open wound. If irritation, discomfort or poor circulation occurs, discontinue use and notify your physician immediately. Do not wear the Partial Foot Sock for more than 20 hours per day.
